Technology Ministries

Technology plays an important role in enhancing the Mass and reaching outside our walls so that people can participate in the parish and the Mass when they cannot physically be there, and to improve our ability to share information with each other.

Technology teams bring our modern-day capabilities to the church to broaden our abilities in reaching everyone & heightening our experiences in worship & serving.

These teams work mainly behind the scenes in various capacities. The Kiosk team may have some interaction with others in helping others utilize the Kiosk in the Hall.

  • Do you enjoy working with computers?
  • Do you like working with cameras and technology?
  • Do you enjoy working with software?
  • Do you enjoy working with video files?
  • Can you spare 10 minutes after Mass or an hour during Mass one or more times a month?
  • Can you spare a couple hours per week (or according to your schedule) to work with software or video files?

CHURCH TECH TEAM

Operate A/V equipment during Mass for church monitors & video streaming.
May assist with video capture & editing

Church Tech is done during the weekend Masses and can take about an hour – occasionally needed for shooting parish short videos or streaming special events.

  • 1 hour weekly, monthly, or as often as able
  • work by yourself or with a partner

  • tech experience not needed, but it's helpful
  • Change slides for hymn lyrics on church monitors
  • Switch camera views for live stream, overlay hymn lyrics or prayers, trouble shoot streaming problems

KIOSK TECH TEAM

Maintaining the software for the Kiosk in the Hall
Assist others with using Kiosk as needed

Kiosk Tech prepares slides for the information Kiosk and the software for the laptops in the hall so that guests can access and enter information – normally takes about an hour a week, or maybe 10 minutes after weekend Mass to assist others if needed.

  • for software, time varies depending on current needs - usually an hour a week
  • for hall assistance, about 15 minutes after Masses - as little or often as you are able
  • Software part is flexible - can make your own schedule & work from home
  • tech support part works with others when assisting at the Kiosk in the hall
  • some tech experience needed
  • maintain software for sign-ups, information sharing, etc.
