St. John XXIII Parish
in the Diocese of Allentown
The day to day activities that function behind the scenes are crucial to a parish for a strong church – to optimize experiences and to run efficiently, leading to expansion. These activities also provide opportunities for individual growth and stewardship.
Miscellaneous operations keep the parish running smoothly and efficiently, help the objectives of the church to be met, and enhance growth of the parish and spiritual growth.
These teams mainly work behind the scenes, but some have interactions with others at various levels. The Front Desk Team can have minimal interaction and the Group Facilitator has interaction with a small group.
FRONT DESK TEAM
Assist with routine office and front desk work
Spend any amount of time that you can spare during Parish Office hours to help with office tasks – you choose the days, times, and amount of time you can donate.
COLLECTION COUNTERS

Entering the collection data into the computer
These two teams handle counting, recording, & entering the money coming in through weekly collections - usually for about 1 hour a week
GROUP FACILITATOR TEAM
Guiding casual group discussions
Providing minimal guidance for group discussions based on a pre-designed topic & format -Just being yourself in a friendly small group of "family" - usually for 90 minutes a week for the duration of the topic (about 4-6 weeks)
LINEN MINISTRY
Caring for the Linens used for Mass
Making sure all of the altar cloths used in our liturgies are clean and ironed. This is usually done weekly - every two weeks.
