Directions for St. Jerome's New Cemetery

Unfortunately, there is not a physical address that will get you to the correct location on GPS or Mapquest. They take you to a dead end, the old cemetery, or the center of Tamaqua. We are working on this problem, but for now, below are some ways to easily find this cemetery.  ** NOTE:  Catawissa St, Jerome St. and Elm St. are all found in other separate, unconnected sections in Tamaqua

Best GPS address to use: 

501 Jerome St. Tamaqua

FROM ALLENTOWN or LEHIGHTON AREA (south of Tamaqua):

  • Take Rt. 309 North
  • Turn LEFT at third traffic light onto Broad St. (Rt. 209)
  • Go over railroad tracks and to the end of town (through 4 traffic lights)
  • Go one more block then turn RIGHT onto Lehigh St (gas station on corner)
  • Go up hill 4 blocks and turn LEFT onto Jerome St. (4th left)
  • Cemetery is straight ahead (2 blocks away) - across from Reigel Fuel Oil
PRINT DIRECTIONS

FROM POCONOS AREA (north/east of Tamaqua):

  • Take Rt. 209 towards Tamaqua
  • Continue straight on 209 (Broad St.) at the 3rd traffic light
  • Go over railroad tracks and to the end of town (through 4 traffic lights)
  • Go one more block then turn RIGHT onto Lehigh St (gas station on corner)
  • Go up hill 4 blocks and turn LEFT onto Jerome St. (4th left)
  • Cemetery is straight ahead (2 blocks away) - across from Reigel Fuel Oil
PRINT DIRECTIONS

FROM POTTSVILLE AREA (west of Tamaqua):

  • Take 209 North, bear right into Tamaqua
  • Turn LEFT at the first intersection onto Lehigh St. (Gas station is on the corner)
  • Go up hill 4 blocks and turn LEFT onto Jerome St. (4th left)
  • Cemetery is straight ahead (one block away) - across from Reigel Fuel Oil

FROM HAZLETON AREA (north of Tamaqua):

  • Take 309 South
  • Turn RIGHT at 2nd traffic light coming into town onto Broad St. (Rt 209)
  • Go over railroad tracks and to the end of town (through 4 traffic lights)
  • Go one more block then turn RIGHT onto Lehigh St (gas station on corner)
  • Go up hill 4 blocks and turn LEFT onto Jerome St. (4th left)
  • Cemetery is straight ahead (2 blocks away) - across from Reigel Fuel Oil
